Aggression in society: as Education Minister Barbara Nowacka calls for work for language

Due to the tragic attack at the University of Warsaw, Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka appealed to the political class for work for the language that emerges from parliament and another public speeches. The Minister of Education expressed a deep concussion in connection with the brutal killing of the doorman on the campus of the University of Warsaw.

In the programme "Graffiti" Barbara Nowacka called on politicians to seriously consider the language they usage in public space, in the context of expanding aggression in society. The Minister of Education expressed her condolences to the household of the murdered employees of the University of Warsaw and wished the injured bodyguard a fast recovery.

The state must invest and support activities related to the intellectual wellness of Poles," said Barbara Nowacka. I am profoundly shaken," Barbara Nowacka said in “Polsat News”. The state truly needs to invest, support and take many measures," explained the Minister of Education.

Minister Nowacka pointed out the problem of expanding aggression, which she felt was visible in society. She appealed to the political class for serious reflection on the language that is utilized in parliament, press conferences, rallies and stadiums, asking whether we want to live in specified an aggressive society.

The programme leader Marcin Fijołek noted that specified violent attacks were hard to predict. Minister Nowack admitted that at this phase there is besides small known to comment on the causes of the tragedy at the University of Warsaw.

According to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), in 2020 more than 140 000 cases of physical force and more than 20 000 cases of intellectual force were reported in Poland. These data show an expanding trend in aggression in society.

Minister Nowacka stressed that the state must invest in educational and preventive programmes that will aim to prevent aggression and force in society. The Minister of Education announced that the Ministry of Education would cooperate with institutions and organisations that deal with intellectual wellness and force in society.

It is worth noting that aggression and force in society have multiple causes and consequences. According to experts, aggression can be caused by factors specified as stress, financial problems, alcohol and drug problems, as well as deficiency of education and cognition about intellectual health.

This is why Minister Nowacka calls for serious reflection on the language utilized in the public space and for investment in educational and preventive programmes that will aim to prevent aggression and force in society.
