A U.S. jury sentenced a man accused of attacking India-born British author Salman Rushdi to 25 years in prison “ fresh York Post reports.
The attack on Rushdi occurred in August 2022, fresh York. The attacker was Hadi Matar of fresh Jersey. As a consequence of the attack, Rushdie suffered multiple injuries, including blinded to 1 eye.
"The lunatic fanatic ... was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment on Friday," the media reported.
Rushdie is an Indian-born British novelist, critic, essayist, associate of the Royal Literary Society of large Britain and bachelor of the French Order of Art and Literature. The writer's most celebrated fresh is the “Children of the North” for which he received the Booker Award.
