Michał Falzmann left the company without collecting a wage erstwhile he discovered business practices. As his wife stated in the movie "The Fool", he was then to receive threats from high-profile company employees.

What was FOZZ? The FOZZs were in general two, the first of them operated from 1986 to 1989, and the second from 1989 to 1990.

The members of FOZZ were to do so in private ways, so in a way on the border of law – through various intermediaries, poles, etc. For this purpose, people with abroad contacts, specified as Polish businessmen, diplomats, intelligence agents, etc., were usually chosen.

As it is easy to guess, there were no authoritative accounts, plans and another files to paper the flow of money – the performers simply received certain sums of money by which they were to buy out the debt.

For this purpose, the Polish People's Republic allocated about 9.9 trillion old zlotys, or about 1.7 billion USD. It was possible to buy a debt worth US$7.6 billion, and abroad debt of the Polish People's Republic in 1989 amounted to nearly US$41 billion, so we are talking about buying almost 20% of the debt.

FOZZ spent $69 million on debt buyout, buying a debt worth $272 million.

The remainder vanished into the air, any immediately, remaining the sum – after transfer to companies in taxation havens.

But we are inactive in the 1980s. – Michał Falzmann becomes manager of Polono, a tiny company producing devices for measuring radioactivity, and works in the Warsaw treasury. Falzmann, however, is an highly ambitious man – shortly he becomes 1 of the auditors of the ultimate Audit Chamber.

Taking advantage of its past experience and the opportunities offered by NIK, Falzmann part by part discovers the real face of FOZZ and the scale on which the Treasury funds are embezzled. It acts aggressively and violently, without concealing its intentions, making it rapidly salt in the eye of both members of FOZZ and most of the another organizations in which the alleged expropriation of the nomenclature takes place, i.e. simply stealing the assets that gathered PZPR and PRL. He besides ceases to be a welcome worker of NIK itself. Falzmann's superiors realize that even NIK is not able to halt the most dangerous players in a murderous game, which runs by tens of billions of dollars.

Falzmann, however, works without remainder – on July 16, 1991, he sends a letter to the manager of the NBP territory Branch asking for information about the financial turnover of FOZZ covered by the secrecy. The way continued, to abroad exchange operations of the Trade Bank, and from there – to a immense operation to bring the motto out of Poland with a rigid dollar rate.

On October 7, 1991, Walerian Pańko and his wife and Janusz Zaporoski, then manager of the Information Office of the Chancellery of the Sejm, are going from Warsaw to Katowice for a lecture. The FOZZ associate process in September 2001 is coming to an end. On October 19, 2001, the lead judge, Barbara Piwnik, covers the portfolio of Justice Minister in Leszek Miller's government.

Due to the change of the referee in charge, the immense FOZZ case must be heard from the beginning. By the time the reconnaissance is over, the statute of limitations is over. In 2006 and 2007, there are ineligible and insignificant sentences of respective years in prison and fines for the most prominent members of FOZZ.

Michał Falzmann was awarded posthumously by president Lech Kaczyński in 2009 with the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (on which charges of accepting money from FOZZ were made in 2000 erstwhile he and his brother Jarosław Kaczyński were members of the Centre's Agreement).

He repeatedly emphasized that his fight against windmills was progressing, so that his children did not gotta live in Poland's stolen communists.

A man who for his relentless pursuit of fact paid the highest price—the price of his own life.
