Krzysztof Czabański, Deputy Minister of Culture and Government Plenipotentiary for Public Media Reform, publically informed that the government is preparing a draft fresh media bill, which assumes an addition to the electricity bills of the alleged audiovisual fee.

Krzysztof Czabański, Deputy Minister of Culture and Government lawyer for Public Media Reform, reported that the government of Beata Szydło is working on a media bill that will introduce the request to pay this fee along with the electricity bill. In return, the RTV subscription is to be abolished.
What is the estimated cost of this tax? – It is said that this is to be the amount of respective zlotys per month, something between 7 and 9 zlotys. Unlike the RTV subscription, the audiovisual fee will should be paid by anyone who receives an electricity bill from the power plant (the current figure of the RTV subscription is those who have a tv or radio at home).
