50 years ago, papal commissions on spiritual contacts with Islam and Judaism were established. On this occasion, it is worth noting the considerable amount of confusion and errors which the "interreligious dialogue" is causing present – condemned by Pope Pius XI in the encyclical "Mortalium Animos".
In an occasional dispatch, the Catholic Information Agency pointed out that a fewer decades ago in the Church there was a change of mention to false religions. "Previously, their followers were considered at best to be "people of another denominations" wishing to convert to actual faith. The position changed only at the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965), which primarily afraid Judaism and Islam," said the news service.
The KAI text cites the importance of Nostra Aetate's council declaration for the contemporary "dialogue with Judaism". The telegram presents the paper as a evidence to the Church's abandonment of “anti-Semitism, which he was guilty of for centuries.”
According to the cardinals. Rysia “Nostra Aetate” rejected the alleged “replacement theology” – or Catholic dogma about the fulfilment of the Old Covenant by Jesus Christ. During 1 of the press conferences, the purple said that in the teaching of the Church there was a "coppernic revolution". The consequence is the belief that the Old Testament is inactive valid, and the Jews are... a chosen nation.
In the words of the Polish cardinal, as in lentils, errors and abuses are concentrated, constantly being committed by promoters of “interreligious dialogue”. It besides pierces considerable ignorance. The promoters of the “dialogue with Judaism” do not want to see that modern Judaism is not the religion of the Jews of Jesus' time. As Fr. Waldemar Chrostowski repeatedly pointed out, Talmudic Judaism with the religion of the Old Testament has small in common. It was built in consequence and contra to Christ's Messiahship.
Fr. Prof. Waldemar Chrostowski: Catholics' dialog with Jews concerns everything but Jesus
In view of the ongoing chaos, it is worth recalling that the “interreligious dialogue” which would lead to the abandonment of belief that only Christ and his Church are the paths leading to salvation, openly condemned Pope Pius XI in the encyclical “Mortalium Animos”. Below we would like to callback selected sections of this key document:
“No religion can be actual but that which relies on the revealed words of God. This revelation, which began with the beginning of the human race and continued in the Old Testament, Jesus Christ himself in the fresh Testament completed [...]--the thing is clear to everyone that it is the work of man to believe unconditionally in the revelation of God and to obey His commandments without reservation: but for the glory of God and for our salvation we can rightly do both, the only-born boy of God established his Church on earth. So we think that those who profess to be Christians cannot neglect to believe that Christ has established the Church and is the only one.”
"In fact, the only-born boy of God has instructed his apostles to teach all men, and the second time all men have pledged to accept in religion all that will be given them "a testibus praecrdinatis a Deo" (By the witnesses of God's appointed), and his command sealed with the words, "Qui crediderit et baptizatus fuerit, salvus erit, quive non crederit, condemnabitur" (He who believes and can be baptized will be saved, but who does not believe will be condemned). Both of these orders of Christ, the order of teaching and the order of religion which must be fulfilled for eternal salvation, would be incomprehensible if the Church had not taught this teaching in its entirety and clearly, and had it not been free from all error," added the Holy Father.
Ecumenism, Judaism, Islam. Why are we falling into the trap of dialogue?
Pius XI, in turn, wrote about “wheels coming out of the presumption that, despite all the differences in spiritual views, it would not be hard for people, by confessing certain principles of faith, as a kind of common foundation of spiritual life, to unite in brotherhood”:
"The Catholics cannot, by any pact, commend specified attempts, due to the fact that they trust on misconception that all religions are more or little good and glorious, provided that they in equal ways, though in different forms, uncover and express our natural head which draws us to God and to the faithful designation of His rule. The followers of this thought are not only incorrect and delude themselves, but they besides deviate from actual faith, perverting its concept and falling step by step into naturalism and atheism. It is clear from this that from the religion revealed by God to us, all those who support akin ideas and endeavors are dismissed.”
“The work on the unity of Christians must not be supported but by action in this spirit, that the sectarians return to the bosom of the 1 actual Church of Christ, from which they, unfortunately, were cast off. We repeat that they should return to 1 Church of Christ, which is all seen, and forever, by His Founder's will, he will stay as He had established him for the salvation of all men," and Pope Ratti warned against "panchristianism."
