The CBŚP crashed a meth laboratory in the secular territory (Kujawsko-pomorskie province), stopping 3 men – including 2 Mexican citizens. According to investigative findings, foreigners supervised drug production and were associated with 1 of the largest cartels operating in North America.

On site, officers secured over 300 litres of liquid meth and BMK and nearly 3 tons of chemicals utilized in the production process. According to experts, at least 330 kg of finished drug with a black marketplace value exceeding PLN 6 million could be produced from protected substances. On the premises of 1 of the property was a professionally equipped laboratory, operated by an organized crime group.

The detainees were Polish citizens and 2 Mexicans. They were brought to the Zachodniopomorskie Faculty of the National Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin, where they heard allegations of participation in an organized criminal group and of the production of crucial amounts of narcotic substances. The investigation is developmental.

The case is treated as peculiarly serious, due to the global nature of criminal activities and direct links to the drug underworld in both Americas. The participation of Mexican citizens in an operation conducted in Poland confirms that drug cartels are looking for fresh routes and production sites in Europe, distant from direct surveillance of American services.

According to the findings so far, the laboratory has been operating for respective months. Production was carried out continuously, utilizing specialised chemical equipment and procedures to reduce odour emissions and hazard of detection. The property where the laboratory was organized was located in a distant location and protected from access by outsiders. Police officers fishy that the finished drug was to enter the Western European market, and Poland was only a production facility. The investigation continues and the services do not exclude further detentions and breakdowns of the wider distribution grid.
